HMK partnered with the Hispanic Center of the Lehigh Valley to participate in the Volunteer Center of the LV’s Volunteer Challenge! Our project consisted of holding food drives to stock the Hispanic Center’s food pantry, volunteering hours to assist in their food pantry operation and also promoting healthy eating by teaching cooking classes to local families at the center. The Hispanic Center of the Lehigh Valley supports our community and works to improve the quality of lives of families (Hispanic and non-Hispanic) by empowering them to become more self-sufficient, while promoting an intercultural understanding in the Lehigh Valley.
